Today marks the 2nd week in our prayer mini-series, where we will discuss the idea of prayer as a “battle.” Many think that spiritually, the most crucial moment to be strong is at the moment of most resistance. Strikingly, Jesus fought most passionately His upcoming trial and death in prayer at Gethsemane. This allowed Him to be strong before Pilate and at the cross. In His prayer, Jesus turned His feelings about the cross over to the Father’s will. While disciples slept, Jesus wrestled. This allowed Jesus to accept His trial and death as the disciples ran and hid.
Today, we consider prayer as the “real” battleground for whatever resistance we face. Prayer “is” the battle! By being obedient in prayer, long before the moment of “most” resistance, we can be better prepared to meet the enemy.
Please join us for the message as we discuss prayer in the battlefield!
