Welcome to Rise! We are a group of teens that come from various walks of life with one major thing in common: Jesus is our Lord. We meet every Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. Each Sunday, we start off with some praise and worship music, dig into God’s Word, and fellowship.
As a group, we are trying to dig deeper into the Biblical text and let it speak for itself. We use an easy-to-follow Bible Study format which includes group discussions & videos. We hope that each student will rely on God’s Word to shape his or her worldview, and we hope to prepare each one of them for whatever life throws at them – whether it is tomorrow, 5 years from now, or 50 years from now. The end result that we hope for: That each of our students will Rise up against the crowd, stand for Christ, and have a solid foundation on which they can do so.
It is our hope that each student can grow in grace and in knowledge about his or her faith. Furthermore, we hope to establish a sense of community in each of our youth so that they can discover the reality that we are one body under One Head (Jesus Christ) and let it impact our everyday walk.
Are you Visiting?
If you do not currently attend our youth group, we would love for you to come and check it out and give us a chance to get to know you! What can our visitors expect? Typically, we start off with some worship music, then we dig into God’s Word, and we will end the night with some fellowship, food, and/or a group game. In addition, we hope that we will make you feel welcome and we hope that you will feel like you belong – because you do!
In addition to our Sunday meetings, we plan various fun events and service projects so that our youth can serve out in the community.
All students grade 8-12 are invited to our Sunday meetings as well as other events. It doesn’t matter what school you go to, where you are at in your walk, or even if you are a Christian or not. We would love for you to come just as you are!
