Sometimes vacations don’t go as planned. What we usually plan are fun and restful times in interesting or beautiful places. We imagine all of our plans going smoothly, with splendid weather and no glitches. Then . . . there’s those “other” times, which may include logistical problems, sickness, bad weather, and relational conflicts. Reality has a way of interrupting our ideal plans! But this is the stuff of the stories we tell, and sometimes difficulty becomes opportunity—even on vacation!
