What comes to mind when you think about being a Christian? For some, it is believing the “right” things while others put an emphasis on right actions. Both of these “answers” are great and true, but the emphasis for today’s message is on the journey. What does that mean? When Jesus asked people to believe in Him, it also implied that they would literally follow Him for the rest of their lives. This was not easy for the disciples, and it will not be easy for us! Psalm 23 paints a picture and provides a glimpse of what it looks like to declare Jesus as your shepherd and to follow Him no matter what.
