And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6) This promise in God’s Word is for us as individuals and for our congregation. Here we are referred to as a work in progress — like a building under construction or a race that’s being run. Let’s thank the Lord for this great promise to complete the work He began in our hearts and in the life and ministry of First Reformed Church!
