One of our misconceptions as we read the Bible is that the Bible characters are super ordinary people who did great things for God. God used them because of their greatness. However, dig deeper and you find that the Bible characters were pretty ordinary folk who were used by God to accomplish super ordinary purposes. For the next four weeks, we will explore the life of Joseph. We will discover his life was ordinary – filled with family dysfunction, difficult circumstances, and selfish thinking. But with God’s help, he navigates his ordinary Joe circumstances. By trusting God, he becomes the super ordinary person God intended him to be, as revealed in a God-sized dream when Joe was a little boy.
