As followers of Jesus, one of the curious things we wonder about is: Where was Jesus after he was crucified but before the empty tomb? The Bible gives some clues, and our creeds and confessions make some statements about this. The Heidelberg Catechism takes a slightly different approach in answering this question. Today, we will take a look at various texts and consider why the answer given in the Heidelberg Catechism is where our focus should be.
