Today, we look at Chapter 7 of the book of Hebrews. We are introduced again to this mysterious figure named Melchizedek, a priest who came before priests from the line of Aaron, Moses’ brother. We learn that Jesus as our high priest came before them all, and with Him He brought a better covenant. Jesus, as a priest, was not appointed by men, but as the Son of God the Father. We will look at the freedom that Jesus brought in the New Covenant of Grace, which rescued us from the condemnation of the law. But we will also consider the importance of the law and the significant purpose it still serves today.
