DESCRIPTION:In today’s message\, we take a look at Saul\, aka the Apostle Paul\, as he walks down the road to Damascus and has and encounter with Jesus. Paul had been given the authority of the high priest in Jerusalem to wipe the name of Jesus off the face of the earth\, but instead he would die proclaiming the name of Jesus. He went from being a tool to erase the name of Jesus to a tool and vessel to spread the name of Jesus. Today\, we consider how Paul’s self-righteousness gets replaced with true righteousness from Jesus. We will take some time to think about how our hearts can deceive us into our own self-righteousness\, and how true righteousness can only be found in the one and only risen Savior. \nPlease join us today for a challenging and thought-provoking message! Schultz\, this bi-weekly study will enlighten you as you grow in your Bible reading & understanding! \nOur Women’s Bible Study starts Sunday\, January 11 and runs bi-weekly through March 22. SUMMARY:Men's Bi-Weekly Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:Men’s Bible Study will regroup starting in January and run bi-weekly starting January 11. Over the course of 6 weeks\, we will look at the importance of literary\, historical\, and cultural context and connected prophecy. We will be drawing from\, but NOT reading these books\, Grasping God’s Word by Duvall & Hays\, and Deep Exegesis by Peter Leithart. Each week\, we will read and study a passage of Scripture that demonstrates in an easy-to-understand way how these interpretive considerations are applied. A lunch will be provided at 11:30 am\, and the study will begin at 12 noon.
