Worship Ministry Team
Worship Ministry Team
This team consists of members of the congregation and consistory, along with the pastor, who meet on a regular basis to give direction to our Sunday corporate worship experiences. We also try to create times for outreach with various avenues, such as Christian concerts.
We prayerfully consider various aspects of the format used, continually seeking God’s input first. We listen to the input of many, trying to find the best ways to involve the whole body in a meaningful time of worship.
Minimally, we try to:
- provide support for the pastor’s goals and needs
- provide sound and screen enhancement in order to "connect" with the entire congregation
- seek musicians and readers, etc. who wish to be "lead worshippers"
- provide a worshipful variety of music that will be both pleasing to God and inviting to worshippers and seekers
- incorporate a variety of art forms and mediums to enhance the visual experience, as most of us are more likely to remember something if we’ve both seen and heard it; this would include things such as skits, videos, banners, flowers, home-made mini-movies, sign language, dance, and much, much more
We need the help of anyone God is leading in this area. If He’s blessing you with creative ideas or simply a heart for this ministry, we want to hear from you. Please feel free to contact either of our co-chairs:
Kathy Hartger (924-3655) or khartred@yahoo.com
or
Al Vissia (924-6403 or ajvissia@sbcglobal.net
