We at First Reformed Church have several teams the work together to make decisions, get things done in the church or make recommendations to our consistory.

Connect Team - Chair - Mary Johnson

Connect events such as BBQs, fun nights, fall fest, etc.  Organize short term mission trips.  Create new ministries globally and evaluate ongoing partnerships.  Create opportunities for people to become equipped to connect people to Jesus Christ and FRC.  Girls Gone Scrappy, Crafters and Laughter Crew.

Grow Team - Chair - Michele Timmer
Create opportunities that allow people to grow spiritually and evaluate all ministries.  Assist all ministry leaders with curriculum, ideas, recruitment of staff and resources.  Provide training/equipping opportunities for leadership.  Annually evaluate the allocation of room, space, resources needed for each ministry. B.E.A.T., GEMS, Cadets, J.O.Y., Sr. High Youth, Apples of Gold, Kingdom Kids, PM Worship, Small Group studies, Library, LTG's.

Serve Team - Chair - Diane Stroven

groups to serve, love, and give care to those in our community/world such as blood drives, Operation Christmas Child, Mud Bowl, TrueNorth/NCCS, Health Screenings. Create and plan fellowship opportunities such as dinners, outings, events and preparing meals for funerals, etc.

Worship Team - Chair - Kathy Hartger
Meet as needed to discern the worship needs of the body of Christ, and to evaluate worship for the purpose of enhancing the very presence of God and more spirit-filled worship. The Worship team makes all the decisions regarding music, style and order of worship for our Sunday services.  Oversees/delegate the decorating of the sanctuary/fellowship area.  Evaluate needed purchases and/or maintenance of Worship equipment.

Prayer Team - Chair- Judy Vissia
Discern the prayer needs of the body of Christ and persons in the community.  Organize prayer ministry(ies) that create awareness for prayer.  Create opportunities for community and world needs (tragedies, prayer vigils, etc) and/or ongoing individual needs to be prayed for.  Advocate/create opportunities for leaning about/growth in prayer (training, conferences, newsletter articles, etc).

Building & Grounds - Chair - Phil DeKryger
As the name implies the building and grounds team oversees various maintenance and construction activities on the Church property. They keep the Consistory informed of ongoing plans and actions and make recommendations for any major repairs/improvements.  Conduct annual inventory of the building, property, and equipment of the church for insurance purposes and respond to any emergencies as they arise. They hire a lawn service and snow plow service for care as needed along with keeping the property and ground in decent order (with help of volunteers).
