DESCRIPTION:We travel with one more Bible person this summer for the next two Sundays. We go with Paul to Athens today\, and Corinth next Sunday. Athens is the home of the “intelligentsia.” Note how Paul frames the Gospel for the super smart. Witness his contextual contact points. Next Sunday\, we travel to a blue collar sailors’ town\, a Las Vegas of ancient days with its wayward sexual inclinations and party hardy atmosphere. Guess which town the Gospel takes root in\, and a new church begins? But to each\, Paul encapsulates the Gospel message so it reaches his audience whether Athens or Corinth.
